My Apologies and Lets Get Back to Work.

So what can we say, it's been awhile hasn't it guys?

First of all I'd like to apologize for my extended absence through out last year (2015). Those closest to Lina and I of course knew that back in November 2014 Lina and I had split up. If you didn't, well know ya know (and knowing is half the battle!). At the time of the last YAL design I just needed to keep myself busy and overhauled it into the large three story building with the small courtyard and made changes that honestly I never was sold on. It wasn't in my heart but a mere distraction from emotions and dealing with the situation. Subsequently the following year of 2015 I was not around nearly as much as I should of have been. I suppose I ended up taking a sabbatical, or rather a journey to find myself once more. 

But here I am, come full circle and finding my true home to be here with you guys. 

The time away though has not been all in vein though. The part of a journey and discovering oneself of course is bound to give one some more insights and ideas. And thus, I'm anxious to get started on giving YAL a breath of fresh air and revitalization ... But first we needed to give it a little throw back to the former builds. *smiles*

If you have already been to the lounge (which I'm sure most everyone has) you'll noticed the familiar street lay out, the dungeon once again being separate from the main building (no street level entrance though *frown*), the roof top has been brought back and bigger than before, and the lounge ... well it's more welcoming, easy to find, and hopefully a good kick back to our former atmosphere.

Along with the build of course I'm working with some new people, and ideas that hopefully coming soon we can start to implement.

Hey guys,

Been doing quiet a bit of work around the lounge as most of ya can see. But I just wanted to give a little update and the changes aren't fully done just quiet yet.

First off I had wanted to redo the Dungeon lobby area to make it a little more conducive for hanging out and meeting cute little subs and what not. The former design to me while nice just felt a little too closed in and clustered and not really designed well enough to draw and keep peoples attention. They would come in and just go to dungeon for the fun :P

So anyway, it's now opened up with a lot more space and since the bath in the dungeon has been so popular I've added in another in the lobby too! Yay!

Aside from that, I began to work on the Femdom areas too. I've put in some new Femdom toys and resigned the layout and stylizing of this room now as well as expanded it into the side room that connects with it and the main dungeon. The room off to the side wasn't really used often and well that bed I had in there kept breaking so I figured I'd make some more use of it. Though I still have some toys from there, and elsewhere, that I want to have left out in the dungeon so I'm still inspecting and looking for ways to keep the toys in ... maybe take out some that are not used often. So there may be a little more changes here and there but nothing as major as those two changes given to the dungeon.

Second change is a little less visible unless you like to frequent all of the private rooms. The office has always been one of our smaller rooms and seemingly lest used. So it's been redone and made into a little more friendly for some office/work place role playing. Now it's more spacious and offers a little more toys to use as well. Be sure to take you and your sexy co worker upstairs to enjoy a little romp.

Hey guys, so glad to see so many of you all enjoying the new changes about the lounge. I've been on the never ending hunt to lessen up on prims but as always I just end up using the ones I've saved to keep adding more to the lounge itself .... So the cycle continues. I've got my eye on the Dungeon right now, I like it alright but feel like it could use some attention. And speaking of attention, I'd like to know from our D/s furs out there, what can make it more popular? 

Anyway, no expected changes coming any time soon as I'm just brainstorming.

Heads Up!

Hey you guys!

I'm posting to give a short head notice that there will be some construction going on around the lounge this weekend. Sorry for such a late notice of this, but Lina and I where still undecided on the exact building and designs to go on until way past my bed time this morning. But as much as I love the main lounge there has always been some issues with it and well now I think it's served it's purpose and due for a change.

The first major issue with the build in it's current state for me has been the entrance. It's just too damn small! I have personally had issues walking through it when lagging, I've seen other people walking into the windows (and no they where not avian), plus it can pretty easy to block.

More space has been issue too. I'd like for the lounge to be more open and spacious feeling but yet still keeping that cozy and charm we have.

And as always .... PRIMS!

So anyway. Lina and I have finally came to terms with a building that we both feel will meet all those and be an improvement. Once I get off work I'll begin working on it early Saturday morning. Nothing will be closed, however expect lots of flying objects.

Public Room Back Up

Well that took longer than I expected and truthfully didn't come out just how I visioned it, however I'm quiet pleased with the out come of the new design and hope that you guys will like it too. Be sure to come check it out sometime, until then here are some pics.

Public Room Temp Closure

Hey guys, just making a post in advance to let you know that we expect to have the Public Yiff Room closed early Saturday morning on March 22nd for remodeling. No ETA on when it will be opened back up again, but we will strive to limit the it's down time to as minimal as possible.

Contents of this update:

As all the other changes we have been doing over the past couple of weeks the main objective is to help on available prims to prevent any more poses being unable to rez and sometimes some forced item returns once the parcel was full.

To limit the amount of down time Lina and I have settled on a build and have already made the necessary changes to make it more suitable. All that will need to be done is pick up the old and decorate the new.

We're going to try to keep the same items out as the current room in place, some may be replaced, and new ones should be added as well.

Changes - Requests Update

Since my last post addressing some of the recent changes going in the lounge and requests I have been doing a lot of thinking about the requests and my comments made in regards to them. Mostly the ones directed at the request for more gay related items. While I have always tried to get beds/chairs/toys with gay options I started thinking that well yes I could do more than that! So I did.

While it's not much, I've nestled in a new building right between the dungeon and brothel that is pretty much everything gay. Inside the vast majority of toys are designed just for gay men, but some do still have the heterosexual standards as well as lesbian ... unfortunately there isn't much way around that. Anyway, if any you guys know of anything that could make it better just let us know!

The spa room has also received a make over while we've been running about making altercations to the lounge. It's way less cluttered a little more relaxing like a spa should be now.

Up Coming Plans

Pressing issues have still been prims. Which is why many of these changes has been going on: the change to the buildings across the street the lounge, spa room change, ect.. So Lina and I have our eyes on the Public Yiff Room. I know it was changed up not to long ago, but we feel like it wont disappoint and try to get it implemented as swiftly as possible to minimize it's down time.

Changes - Upcoming Changes - Requests

Alright fuzz butts out there, if you haven't seen it yet there has been quiet a few renovations going on around the lounge this weekend. While I have enjoyed the most recent remolding of the lounge one issue that had been bugging me was that it didn't quiet have that "alley" feel to it on which we where founded (It's in name right?). So the most noticeable and drastic of the changes is of course the complete revamp of the buildings across the street from the main lounge, closing in on the street a bit and just spiffing up the ground level our little lounge to represent that alley once more.

We have taken the row of four smaller rooms and threw them together into one larger open spaced warehouse building. Most of the toys present in the row of buildings are located in and around that building, but unfortunately a few didn't really transition well (frown). But! We've added quiet a few more new and some older past favorites. 

More changes along the street level of the lounge has come from one request that I was really not sure on how to give, but took an idea and ran with it. Someone wanted some more prostitution play, we've had the street lights out but for toys I've not been too sure what else would really work just for that. So, one answer has lead to the opening of the "Pussycat Ranch" next to the coffee shop. I've not seen that building really used all that much and I'll admit the decor of it was a little bland, well not any more. It's dressed up to be a mini brothel, complete with windows wide open for girls to sell their wears. One additional street light pole has been added by it's location as well.

Very minor work has been done to the dungeon, main lounge, game room, and expected to be done on the public yiff room. These changes are generally just item swaps, additions to some new toys, prim saving cuts.

Expected remodeling of the Spa Private Room is likely. I picked up a very nice sauna but to get it into the room I'm expecting pretty much a complete remodeling. When that time comes we will block off access to this room until completion.

Now that I have rambled on I'd like to just touch on a few requests that we have gotten. Lina and I are always open to suggestions and take each one to heart, sometimes we can deliver sometimes cant. 

Bathroom toys: Unfortunately these have been taken up with the recent changes simply because they didn't fit in with the new build, not that we don't want them. I'm brainstorming ways of squeezing in another restroom type thing but am unsure of how so don't really have an eta there. Also as far as adding more, there are not very many good watersports toys out there in my opinion are good. So we're probably stuck with that set.

Glory holes: I wish I could give you guys these, but none have really struck me as good or practical to put into place anywhere. They either have you playing with a NPC cock or have some bad animations ect .... I only want to bring the best and just haven't found anything yet.

More Gay Items: I'm trying my best too. The Lounge caters to all walks of life be it a gay, lesbian, straight, herm, whatever ya may be. So I need to find items that also cater to all these. When I go out looking for toys I try to get the ones that have gay/lesbian options with the standard M/F ones, but have and will get some more male/male.

More yiffing: Well that is up to you guys! I'm trying to make YAL one of the better fur hangouts and yiff areas but as the saying goes "you can lead a horse to water, but not make it drink it." I'm open to any suggestions on how to encourage getting people to stay, chat, and get freaky.

Two Year Update

Hey guys. It has been awhile since I've made any kind of post on the blog but I wanted to let everyone know that I'm still here and evolved in the lounge and keeping it going on now onto it's 2nd year anniversary. As we approach into the third year of operations I hope to continue keeping things fresh and bring a quality environment for all to enjoy.

One major problem we have had lately has been the parcel become too full due to the amount of rezzed objects from the toys. I'm working on combating this with replacing items with the no pose ball objects of equal or higher quality. Unfortunately this isn't always easy and some higher primed objects may have to replaced all together, so expect some hopefully just minor changes here and there. Of course, Lina or I will perform daily sweeps unrezz all unused items.

I have replaced some items in the Public Yiff Room already. One was just for a better quality bed in the upstairs bedroom. The work out room has actually gotten a more useful and naughty toy, swapping out the exercise mat with one that has more to it than just exercises.

So anyways, expect to see me roaming around and touching up things here and there and over all just being around more in general again :)

Wow guys.. just saw today that our traffic was 32,949 today. That's the third day in a row that we've topped our previous highest records. Awesome! I'm so happy to see visitors and hearing all the positive feed back with the recent changes. All that just makes the owning/operating of YAL worthwhile.

Lina and I will still strive to do our damnedest to keep this place the best that it can be, but I'd just like to thank you guys all for hanging out with us, offering feedback, and sharing the word about us.

Premature Release

Well I had not even had the new Yiff Room open for more than a day before I started spotting areas that vastly needed more work, so the past couple of nights I've been throwing in a few changes but as of today I think all is happy and fine in my little Tori world.

First off the middle upstairs room just ... eh felt a little like I just stuffed it with items and said done. So I reworked it into being a small gym like room and brought back some old toys from our Subway days and a little more new ones. As of this morning two more toys where added in and it feels more complete and suitable for a home gym.

One other room upstairs also just felt kind of loosely thrown together with no thought, which was one with the canopy bed, rug, and what not. This was just an easy fix of rearranging the furniture and making a few swaps. Nothing too major but it feels much more put together now, or at least to me :P

Other changes have also been made to the pool area. While at first it was just going to be a visual there were many curious furs sneaking out to it. So I have made an entrance to it from the lower floor and have added more toys out there for some good wet fun. There is a mixture of solo items and couple ones out there.

Lina and I are quiet proud of these recent changes, and we hope that you all are enjoying them as well. Let us know what you think! We're always open to hear back from our visitors.

Le New Yiff Room

Alright folks, while the voting was minimal at best, the "majority" of votes went to yes for a total resign of the Yiff Room. And that's we did!

We're proud to have to open up the Yiff Room again to this new and grander design. With this new design there is a lot more floor space and usable room in which we did take advantage of. The new building in itself is a lot bigger than our dome of love was allowing for us to pack in more features that we other wise just could not have in the old structure. We now have a kitchen, hot tub, more beds, more seating, and hopefully more yiffing.

While I did fall in love with the old building, I just didn't put too much thought into when it comes to what should be needed for a good yiff room. It was a fantastic building and a very spur the moment purchase for me, but just not conducive to the intent of this room. For those of you liked the old build, I hope you will come to like this one as much.

Revisions

Well one obvious revision you don't have to look to far to see is that the blog has changed! I've just been working on the image of the blog some today after making some other other revisions to things. Hopefully this a little more eye pleasing with a better ease of following the information and what not.

Other revisions I wish to speak on though however. Unfortunately we regret that we need to tighten up our rules, but some events have shown that we should as well a further define some areas of them. As of today I've written up a new revision our rules and will probably add to them as the weekend progresses. All I really want to ask of you guys though is to please be respectful to others. It shouldn't be a hard thing to do.

But ending on a possitive note. As of now we have a whole 12 of ya voting for change lol. The polls are still open about the yiff room though, but the way votes are going so far it seems like as of Sunday I'll be working on the new Yiff Room. Lina and I have already picked out a much bigger space so I personally think it will be the better thing to do. I just don't want to end up ruffling to many feathers with changes to how things are.

Yiff Room Poll

Hello furry friends, I've got a poll for you today YAY!

Ok, so all silliness aside. I've been taking a look at our Yiff Room and it's been having some ok traffic up there but also not quiet as good as the other areas. While my former changes to the Dungeon and Private Rooms hasn't been a drastic change from the original structure and theme, I'm looking at the Yiff Room in terms of a complete overhaul. So please read my explanation, possible ideas, and give us your opinion on the matter.

First. In all my changes done to the lounge, I have seen more comments about the areas looking more open and welcoming. Right now in the Yiff Room it's kind of packed and not much open room for walking around in. I feel that there is also a lot dead space up there. While the build is superb, the floor space is limited and kind of crowded. I don't like that there is only one path to the pool and even at the pool there is hardly standing room to move around in.

Second. The fact that this is a house inside a skybox really spends a lot of prims on just making the exterior of the house look good. I can save on prims by just a box with the decore spent souly on the interior and the exterior being left up to the imagination. This will allow me to use those free prims elsewhere in the build via more toys or themed decoration ect...

So my thinking is finding something a little bit bigger with less prims and more open to give you guys more floor space to walk around in and hang out in. My possible ideas thus far would be either like a park, or the inside of a building (similar to how the dungeon is only not as dark), I would love to keep some kind of pool. Ideas are still formulating in my head, but we will have to look around and see what can be done. Quality of course will not be sacrificed. In fact we're looking too improve it.

I do know that some of you guys like the room as it is and one person even said it should be the main TP area. So I don't want to act without hearing back from the community on this one.
So, with that I'll leave voting up to you guys.

More work in the Dungeon

Sup furs out there? Well, we're still working on increasing the productivity of our D/s sector out there and thinking of ideas which can bring in more D/s bdsm lifestylesers out to our little lounge. So I've increased the size of the Dungeon entrance lobby quiet a bit to accommodate more seating room for any Doms and subs alike to sit and visit.

Dungeon Move

If you happened to log out in the dungeon and found it missing when you logged in today, well it's ok. It is still the same as ever, just relocated down to the street level.

 We just felt having the dungeon down on the street level would be a pretty good idea and bring in some foot traffic. It's actually set below the main street build as a basement located in the three story building next to the cafe'. It's not too hard to miss, just look for the "Ms Kitties Pretty Play Dungeon" sign and enter. If you don't feel like walking, well all the TPs are the same and have just been updated to take you to the new location.

So what does the fox say, I think I'll leave this up to us furries to figure out. In fact, I think I'll dedicate this one to Syxx.



So onto some real news. I'm looking at moving the dungeon down onto the street level with the main lounge. So far I have the frame work set up for it to fit in as a basement with the entrance located in the building next to the cafe' It's blocked off for now and still a thought. But expect some late night shifting of gear from the dungeon.

Well I'm not all that big into the social media, I suppose I'm starting to show my age and being a grumpy old fart. However, I do like Facebook and just derping around with it while at work and what not, so the other day I created an account just for Yiff Alley Lounge for the heck of it. So if you'd like, check it out, like, comment and all that mess. I'm just thinking this may be a way to communicate with me much easier than through this blog and SL.

Game Room and Dungeon

Greetings all.

After receiving a few requests to place out our greedy table again we have worked to trim back on prims and squeeze in a new game room. It is not much, but the empty building to the side of the lounge has been spruced up and inside you can find a wall mounted game of Greedy and a game of Battleship. Our chess table has remained where it has always been in the main floor of the lounge though.

In addition to the Game Room, we have also redesigned the Dungeon. The lobby area has been increased, providing lots more room and the bdsm note-card library has also been moved up there. The over all dungeon has also expanded with a new room dedicated specifically to Fendom.

We hope that you enjoy these changes and have fun playing Greedy and with your sub.
